In my opinion, the most valuable thing here is the visual style and lyrical plot, which can interest you in quantum physics. Moreover, the presentation of the plot through audio diaries and the shock ending force the player to think and build theories. It’s good that shooters now have such a feature as intellectualization, an invitation to co-creation, which has long been known in literature.
The direction and staging, the unity with the character are top notch. At some moments the immersion was so strong that I was afraid to approach the edge of the street hanging above the clouds, so as not to fall from there. The game knows how to evoke emotions. What hatred I felt for Fink and the townspeople when the unhappy interracial couple was wheeled onto the stage at the fair. The ball in his hand really came in handy - I really wanted to throw something at Fink.
A separate song is Elizabeth’s elaboration. I wish other developers would take the same approach to creating companions.
Fantastic game. There are flaws, of course, but the magnificence of all other elements simply prohibits criticizing this amazing game.
