In general, the game is good, and it brings a lot of pleasure, but there are several nuances that do not allow it to surpass the second part in any way, now I will describe which ones point by point.
1) Humor. The game is no longer as toothy as the second part was. There is no amount of black humor that they were not afraid to make fun of such topics as: religion, LGBT, sexism, racism, feminism, etc. They tried to compensate for this with sarcastic humor, but it is mostly not of particularly high quality and does not have the same effect as the humor in the second part of the game.
2) Gameplay. In general, the gameplay has stepped forward, tackles, parkour elements, weapon modes, several active skills and a more interactive world provide a fairly pleasant experience. But everything goes to pieces the moment we get to other planets, the gameplay on other planets is no different at all from that on Pandora, the locations of other planets themselves are, frankly speaking, tiny and in general more like corridor rooms with an open sky. Although we saw both reduced gravity and lack of oxygen in The Pre Sequel. They could take an idea from an existing game, add a few more gameplay features and change and combine them differently on different planets, it would be much more interesting.
3) Characters. In general, the characters are not bad, but the new ones do not have the charisma that the characters from the second part had, and the old ones have lost some of it, so going through the game through the plot is not particularly interesting several times. The new villains are rather weak characters in terms of their development, as faceless and uninteresting as possible, they are like walking to Mars with a meteorite in their ass compared to the magnificent Handsome Jack.
