Perhaps the first major project to fall under Konami's madness. Even though I’m not particularly familiar with the series beyond the two slashers, I admit that it has a very interesting world, excellent gothic art design and even a good story to some extent. Yes, in the first part it was from the category of “we suck at killing those who know who needs to be killed,” but its ending and subsequent story envelops the whole Belmont family, right down to the grandson of the main character. By the way, castelvania still requires an understanding of what happened between parts 1 and 2 in Mirror of Fate, albeit at the level of “this is a son, there is a grandson, and this is a fucking mirror.”

The game is simply fantastic! The most beautiful landscapes, interesting characters, plot - with all this, the game simply sucks you into itself and does not let go. What has changed since the last game: they removed the static (main + simple) camera, which was annoying in the predecessor; the world has become much larger, although it is still a corridor, but nevertheless; Gabriel became more (as far as one can even call him that) alive. Unlike the first game, it is more spelled out. The game is shorter than the previous one, but richer in events. Something happens every 15 minutes, even when you are just walking somewhere. And anyway, what is there to tell? Take it and play for yourself. You definitely won't regret it. 9/10

Let's start with stealth, which is not suitable for the strongest vampire in the world... and okay, it would be explained normally, but no, "you're not strong enough for a dude in armor with a grenade launcher!" (who can't even kill you with the first shot, yeah and you can dodge them). Now someone will say: “the hero actually died and was resurrected! It’s clear that he lost all his strength!” Yes, I don’t argue that he lost all his vampire gadgets, but he defeated Satan in the last part and without them, he defeated the previous shadow lords without vampire abilities! One could say that if they discover you, they will understand that it was YOU who rebelled and the plan for the revival of S… Read full
