A mediocre shooter with elements of atmospheric horror, where they will occasionally try to scare you and force you to solve all sorts of puzzles and ordinary problems. The main character performs every action in the game with such difficulty and effort that you want to quit after the next restart. I don’t know about you, but I often had to load saves in order to find the right lever or remember from which corner the next mob would jump out at me, fortunately there are plenty of these checkpoints here and there is a quick save.
Enemies always have a lot of health, even the weakest enemies need to land at least three shots from a rifle, but they kill you in one burst, this becomes a problem towards the end of the game due to the lack of ammunition, and before that you For half of the game you will be walking around with an ax and trying to hit someone with it, because even just knocking down icicles according to the plot does not work the first time.
With this game I got the feeling that I was playing a shooter for the first time, in pursuit of realism - they went too far here. The hero is constantly out of breath without running a couple of meters - so forget about running, since the events take place on an icy ship, he will have to be in the cold almost all the time, because of this, nothing depends on your shooting, the sight sways from side to side. The life bar here is warmth, it is also health, at first impression it has a large supply, but it will usually be half full. A separate discussion is the sniper rifle, which is impossible to play with.
Enemies did not always react to my hits on them and therefore I had to shoot somewhere in the body so as not to accidentally leave for reloading and not be killed. The level design and general concept of the game seemed interesting to me and the genre hinted at action and drive. In reality, the narrator’s voice lulled me to sleep and led me through boring, monotonous, corridor levels that looked like a demo video of the engine’s capabilities, physics capabilities in some fifteen-minute video that did not contain continuation, logic, meaning and was stretched out for for an eternity, judging by the sensations that the passage caused me. The ending, as well as the plot, made me a little more than full of pain and suffering from the game, but it will be a fair assessment.
