Games Dark Messiah of Might and Magic All reviews Review from vcheiser

so I don’t even know where to start.....either write this as an emotional description of the game, which is in 1st place on my list of games, or start, like a judge, dryly coining the pros and cons.... I’ll try to combine both , and more.

ITAX. LET'S START WITH THE FACT THAT THIS GAME is from the might and magic universe. and I recommend it to all fans of "heroes", since almost the entire plot is based on this universe. here you can read many books scattered in all corners of the game map, about Asha, the dark messiah, about the war of Elizabeth and the griffin empire, about Godric. Here you will fight with that same wyvern (6 lvl) of orcs in all its full height, you will fight with those same bulls and cyclops. you can even find the most powerful artifacts from this same universe. so fans of the heroes will not get bored here.

but let's move on specifically to the pros and cons.

+ you know what... here the combat system is developed 2 times better than in the same Witcher 3, where out of ~100 attack options you will have only 10 in your arsenal. There are at least only 20 attack options, but they have been worked out to perfection, and sooner or later you will have to learn how to use each option. because a blow from above, which easily cuts spiders in half, will not even have time to hit a fast goblin, and the most elementary, literally, waving a sword, can unexpectedly help kill the boss.

+huge world. although it is linear, it is also varied. I would compare the entire game to a line of 20 five-room apartments. where there is 1 entrance, 1 exit, but between them there are so many separate rooms and unexpected spaces...

+ variety of enemies

+ thoughtful development system, which I equate to the Skyrim system.

+ 10 hours of play, and after completing it I want to go through it again.

- you still know. the game really lacks something... I would even say a lack of mass appeal, a lack of an apocalypse. it feels like there are only you and a hundred other enemies in the whole world. and the cities themselves don’t seem to exist. people took part in a couple of scripted scenes, and then lived as if nothing had happened. as if nothing had happened. and it is this stupid misunderstanding of the entire surrounding world that they can die in the next world that creates this very impression.
