Dead rising 3 is a sequel to one of my favorite games, Dead Rising 2.
Dead rising 3 is a noticeably larger game than DR2, and it is also noticeable that with each part the developers aimed at an ever wider audience, somehow making the game more casual (which is actually not bad except for DR4). There are just enough activities in DR3, random events and collectballs have also appeared, the mechanics of vehicle combos have been expanded significantly, the timer has been increased, by the way, there is something worth noting on the timer. in DR 1-2, the Timer placed you in a very narrow framework; you simply did not have enough time to complete all the quests and at the same time thoroughly study the world of the game. As an old DR2, I went through DR3 as well as DR2, mostly without being distracted by secondary activities and completing the plot and tasks given over the radio, so by the end of the game my timer barely reached half 😐 (I completed the game in 18 hours) , which is naturally cool, because I realized that Dead Rising finally gives you a lot of time, but at the same time it never ceases to give you a feeling of tension that something will happen soon and I might not miss it (it’s really a pity that I only realized this at the end of the game))
I also have questions for DR3 about the developers' fantasies. For what?? Why add inappropriate vulgarities? Twins in DR2? Okay, these characters fit into the game. Randy from DR2? Great, that's a great idea for a psychopath, no joke. Dylan in DR3? The same as with Randy, this character fits perfectly into the game, if the apocalypse comes, I am 102% sure that a similar character will appear in life. But Hilda... A person who works in the government, openly flirts with soldiers and makes jokes about mating... But this doesn’t fit in at all, what’s the point? She is a vulgar character just for the sake of vulgarity, perhaps the developers wanted to make her memorable, and if that was their goal, then they succeeded, but it seems to me that Hilda is like a stain on DR3 and only spoils the picture.
I still can’t keep silent about the large number of bugs, seriously, in my gaming experience DR3 is the most buggy. Was it really impossible to fix the game in 11 years? Just to be safe, I’ll say that I didn’t play a single AAA game at release, maybe they have just as many bugs.
The verdict is, Dead Rising 3 is a great game, seriously, I definitely recommend it. I personally had a blast.
