Games Dead Space (2008) All reviews Review from J.D.Jackson_DS

Dead Space is a game created by EA Redwood Shores (now known as Visceral Games). This is one of the few projects that successfully combined action with horror elements.

The plot unfolds when a technical ship is sent to the USG Ishimura, from which a distress signal was received. A rescue team consisting of five crew members, including the main character engineer Isaac Clarke. After an emergency landing, Isaac Clarke and the rest of the crew find themselves on the Ishimura, but no one is there. Having walked inside the ship, the lights suddenly go out and necromorphs appear. After this, they realize that they are not alone here on the Ishimura.

The gameplay is interesting and exciting, and at the same time easy to learn. Isaac can use four weapons. There are not many types of weapons here, but this is enough. Necromorphs are an alien life form, these seemingly pleasant people are at the same time creepy and disgusting, xenomorphs from aliens are not even close to these cuties. There are many necromorphs in the game: from small and medium to large, huge and very huge. You also need to kill them in a different way, so guys, forget about a headshot in the face. You need to shoot at the limbs - the arms and legs, this is the only way to kill them.

The musical and sound accompaniment is really chosen perfectly. Russian voice acting and subtitles are excellent. This is one of the few cases when dubbing does not make your ears dry up, but on the contrary, it is pleasant and interesting to listen to. Thanks to the Dead Engine (now known as the Visceral Engine), the graphics and location design convey exactly what the developer wanted to do. You will truly plunge into the world of horror of dead space.

Dead Space is an excellent action-horror game that you can’t tear yourself away from and will give you a lot of emotions. One of the best games of its kind.
