Another game, undeservedly forgotten among high-profile AAA titles, which I bought during the summer sale on Steam.
Defy Gravity is a two-dimensional platformer where, with the help of gravity, we have to go through a game world full of dangers. Having only a jetpack and fields of positive and negative gravity, the hero-astronaut must carefully jump on platforms and avoid various spheres and laser beams, which are also affected by the fields.
Interestingly, the game encourages you to combine fields to complete levels, and this feels about as exciting as the portals in the game Portal. And the complexity of some levels really makes you sweat, because the game conditions limit the player to only the ability to shoot 2 fields of each power before the next landing on the platform. In other words, you need to carefully think through the trajectory of the flight between the spheres, otherwise you risk falling under the laser or running into the wall of the platform.
In fact, I believe that if this game were released on mobile platforms, it would gather a fairly large audience there and find its fans. Well, on the computer it will certainly delight you with a couple of exciting evenings and, perhaps, even longer.
