Young Dante is very naive and relies on his demonic power to solve all issues. When his brother, Virgil, appears on the horizon, the young hunter sets off on his first mission.
Despite all the scale of what is happening on the screen, the story turned out to be very intimate, and the characters can be counted on one hand.
It’s worth mentioning that you need to be prepared for the visual style of this game. In short, it is a mixture of dark gothic and sugary pretentious anime. However, this stylization works quite successfully, coupled with a powerful aggressive techno soundtrack creating a unique atmosphere.
The gameplay itself has not undergone fundamental changes, from part to part it is acquiring additions, and if you suddenly managed to complete parts 4 and 5, but for some reason missed the trilogy, it will not be difficult for you to start the game without delving into local training, but slight discomfort due to the lack of some features (for example, styles must be selected before each level and cannot be switched during the game) can spoil the gameplay a little.
PROS: Plot, exemplary slasher mechanics, replayability.
CONS: Technically outdated engine, complexity.
