Grim Dawn fans won't like it!
Yes, Blizzard's graphics have been changed, everything is beautiful. Not like in Reforge. We added a couple of minor innovations, such as automatic gold collection (why this couldn’t have been done 20 years ago, I don’t know). That's all!
1. The most disappointing thing is the loot system. Just like 20 years ago, having picked up a more or less normal sword in Act 1, you run with it all the way to Baal, or even further. Because nothing normal will fall to you anymore. Just forget it. Why, at lvl 30 of a character, items/talismans/weapons of level 10-15 with ridiculous characteristics (for example, +1-2 fire damage) drop, I cannot understand. And nothing better falls yet. Trying to win something from a merchant costs yourself more. And there are very few practical cube recipes. Therefore, do not be surprised if you kill Diablo with a rod, for example, purchased from Akara at the start of the game.
2. Too much dependence on the correct construction of the build, especially for the first difficulty. You can easily, for example, as a necromancer with skeletons, reach Diablo and get stuck on it forever and ever. Because a couple of incorrectly invested skill points and your skeletons will die only after seeing a big red monster. Changing characteristics is one attempt for Akara. Then, if it doesn’t work out, it’s not clear what to do. Is it stupid to run around and level up? Sort of...
3. The measurements are complete bullshit as before. They run and run and act stupid all the time. They don’t help with anything useful, except for the aura from Act 2. Dumb as slippers. Killed by main bosses in 2 hits. And why couldn’t it still be possible to add the ability to hang gloves, a belt and boots for them?
4. There are very few character development options. Look on YouTube - everyone there is running around like crazy with a teleporter. It was high time to remove this teleport, they turned the game into who knows what.
No, 2000 rubles were not wasted. Diablo 2 will always stay with me as a part of my childhood. But everything is moving forward and content updating and innovation are required. If this does not happen, the game will die out in a couple of months. Only ardent fanatics will continue to shout at it. Another option is the development of mods, such as the Grapes of Wrath.
