Oh, another forgotten masterpiece... Let me start by saying that this game was my favorite as a child, because I was very interested in all sorts of mythical characters, and the quality of the video and plot made me sit at the computer for hours.
As we all know, the game entered the market in 2005 and immediately shocked the public with a complete reworking of the entire game, compared to the first part, leaving only what made them play it more and more - a turn-based RPG with elements of the development of not only the main character, but also the “soldiers”.
So, as I already mentioned, the game itself is a turn-based RPG strategy (i.e. explore the world, upgrade your character and his warriors, build new buildings in your city and learn new spells). In the game itself there are 6 races: 1) Empire (people, servants of the light); 2) Undead (and it is clear that these are the living dead and ghosts with vampires and ghouls who worship Thanatos). 3) Mountain clans (sort of local hermit gnomes who defend the will of the runes); 4) Elves (all sorts of Legolas who, in order to save 1-2 trees, are ready to destroy entire settlements); 5) Legions of the Damned (certain “Demons” who want to plunge the whole world Disciples 2 into the lava of the Underworld); and-and-and the most perky clan - 6) Neutrals (they include orcs, goblins, dragons, ghosts, mermaids, monsters and all, all, all.).
Regarding the plot, there is no specific plot as such. Because the whole game is built on additions, a la Dark Prophercy , etc. But, if you single out “at least something,” then the plot revolves around all the clans, because... "..an ancient evil that has possessed a little boy has awakened and seeks revenge and his name is Betrezen.." (the name may differ depending on the localization). In general, for each race you can go through a campaign where absolutely everything will be different (with regards to other races), where you will want to kill Betrezen, save him, steal him, etc., depending on the race. The campaign will consist of several missions (but quite long ones). Also, depending on the leveling up of your character, you will be able to choose additional skills for him, buy and find new items (artifacts), level up buildings for your warriors (the leveling up branch can be different..do you want an adept sorcerer who hits everyone? Please !Hmm, but if you don’t want to, we can offer to upgrade the adept to a witch who will turn enemy characters into demons! And such branches are on all fighters!
Conclusion on a 10-point scale:
- Graphics 8 (indulgence due to antiquity)
- Plot 6 (it’s not very intriguing or “fascinating”. The plot is only needed so that you don’t wander around aimlessly map)
- Gameplay 9.5 (The game system of interaction with everything possible is very addictive, + in some ways it resembles the good old heroes, and in some ways it is even superior in its battle mechanics, because the number of warriors you have is limited and who pumping is your choice, but don’t regret it).
P.S.: If you have a friend who is interested in this genre or game, then there is multiplayer and believe me, it’s really fun :)
P.S.S.: A short review, but it’s better to play this game yourself and evaluate it for yourself .
