Doom

I've been playing DOOM since the 2nd part! I would like to note that this part is the same doom that we saw in the 2nd part - namely, a mess and nothing more. There is no plot as such... run away and let everyone go. If they tried to make the 3rd part as horror, then there is not even the slightest hint of horror, and this is basically good. I don’t really like to traumatize my child’s psyche))

Among the advantages of DOOM:

- Graphic design is great;

- Special effects - explosions, shooting, everything is at the modern level;

- Excellent gameplay - went through without straining;

- interesting animations for adding and demonstrating weapons;

The best single player game I've played in the last 10 years. The graphics are great. Very cool level design. Music...It's perfect for this game! At the "Nightmare" difficulty level, some places are really difficult to pass and this is great for modern games (press "x" to win). The monsters look quite scary and are often scary. This is especially true for knights and barons of hell. There are many secrets, just like in previous parts of the series.

Everything was done well, finishing off enemies and grabbing ledges and weapons and monsters, and everything in general! Cool enemies, lots of meat and fun. DOOM, if we evaluate the series of games as a whole, is the BEST first-person shooter of all time, in the entire history of computer games. If only because this game is the beginning and pioneer of its genre, for this alone it is already awarded this status. BUT, besides this, DOOM itself is incredibly cool: the most gorgeous musical accompaniment, the ingenious implementation of weapons, the plot, innovative graphics (And DE Software, something, somewhere, yes, yes, was invented throughout all parts of the games, not to mention already about the greatest breakthrough with the release of the first part), an amazing bestiary of monsters, etc.

So, ladies and gentlemen, there are no options!

Doom (2016) - a good remake of the first part with a good level of graphics and... that's all. Unfortunately, there is nothing special or exciting about this game.

A leisurely start to the game will introduce you to the basics of shooting and finishing off demons, show you some good level design, and then send you on your way. But the further path will present only an increased number of enemies and weapons. Everything is the same as in the first part, the game from 1993... Doom of 2016 does not bring anything new, but tries to ride on everything old. I forgot, there is also leveling up of weapons, costume and character indicators (health, armor and ammunition). in principle, the usual mess of such a horror game, there’s just no plot to kill, there’s a normal number of weapons, it’s well optimized, I have a weak computer but it runs without lags, there’s 1 minus

Naturally, I knew about the release of the game back in 2016, but I kept thinking that this game was not for me. I still prefer story games, and among FPS games I mainly prefer immersive sims or stealth actions. But three years later (i.e. I bought it last year, but only tried it in March 2020), a big discount plus Mick Gordon’s soundtrack sold me this game.

And you know what? The game really suited me. I’ll start by choosing the difficulty level “ultra violence” and mentally I understand that taking into account 2 more difficulty levels, I’m playing on average, but it sounds so cool that I feel like a hardcore player)

This part is not scary at all, unlike the old third part. This game provides you with a super action game in which you can really relax by killing, exploding, effectively tearing into pieces with your hands and sawing enemies with a chainsaw. The plot here is certainly not too long. And if you try to find secrets and so on as much as possible to improve your suit and weapons, then it will take you about 20 hours to play. But damn, this will be the coolest and most awesome 20 hours of your life spent on this game!

If you once liked or suddenly still like Arena games like Quake 3 and Unrealtornment, which are similar to this game in their craziness and meatiness, then you will definitely like it. Because she's even cooler.
