The quality of the second game in the series is especially striking compared to the first part. One of the colorful examples when moves and mechanics that had already justified themselves were trampled underfoot for the sake of instructions from above.
Of course, the eternal desire to get as much as possible for as little price as possible is understandable, but it’s high time to understand that it doesn’t work that way. And if we take into account the change in course towards the console audience, then the result was not a continuation of the first part, but a kind of miracle Yudo, which received only characters and lore from its predecessor.
The combat mechanics are terrible, and things are no better with the camera, which sometimes brings much more problems than a serious opponent. There is no trace left of tactics; any battle turns into chaos after a few seconds.
And they even managed to spoil one of the only two good things - relations with party members - to please minorities. No, this is not a criticism of Bioware for adding party members with alternative views to the game, but solely for the “how” it was done. For what reason is this so exposed, regardless of your preferences? They're adding options for players, yes. But at the same time, others are completely deprived of it.
Much more can be said about the game. It’s just a pity that this is due solely to the fact that it’s easier to tell bad things.
