The gameplay is exciting. Parkour, night chases, fights in most cases using melee weapons (but sometimes you can also find shooters). The crafting system is also quite good. Even from a shell pipe you can make a weapon with some elemental effect. In general, to tell you the truth, I'm not very keen on games about zombies. Boring activity. Walk, kill, collect loot, hide from the dead and blah blah blah... Dying Light is a different matter. The gameplay there is fast. It's as if the game is telling you "Run or die!" Getting around in a fairly urbanized area is difficult. Especially in the Old Town, where the streets are filled with infected people. And here parkour comes to the rescue. Old man Bracken taught the people how to navigate Harran efficiently. Without the risk of getting bitten, but with the risk of falling down to death.
From my experience, I will say that on my first playthrough the game was a little scary for me at night. I remember running around the carriage at night, running away from mutants (mutants and infected are different things) who were chasing me. The head of one of them popped up right in the corner of the screen. I shuddered with fear and almost fell)))
In general, the game is attractive. The plot is average. In the DLC "The Following" he is much more interesting. But don't rush to play it right away. First you need to go through the main story in order to understand some of the content of this DLC. They also added new weapons, tricks (parkour) and added variety to the faces of the characters (They all looked the same). Well, it’s not for me to judge whether you should play or not. As they say: “If you don’t try, you won’t know”))
If you still decide to play, then here’s my advice to you, as a Harran parkour master: When the jumpers run after you - Run... Run, squeezing your buns. Run, boy, run
PS. This is the first time I’m sharing my opinion, so don’t judge my review too harshly. However, I am also glad to receive criticism. Have a nice game!
