E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) — adventure quest with a third-person view and puzzle elements. Task — assemble three parts of the interplanetary telephone. The pieces are scattered randomly in different holes (also called wells). There is no general time limit. The player is given an on-screen energy bar that decreases when ET performs any actions (including moving, teleporting, or falling into a pit, as well as levitating back up). To prevent this, the alien can collect Reese's pieces which are used to restore his energy, or when nine are collected, the alien can call Elliot to get the phone piece, or the player can save the candy for bonus points at the end.
