Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon invites the player to throw away all the pressing matters of the present and travel back thirty years... to the 80s. In those distant years, gamers of that generation sat on the sofa, in front of TVs with “convex” screens, picked up a joystick with the inscription “Dendy” and replayed all the 8-bit hits of those years several times, and cinemas gathered queues for the subsequently cult, foreign action films and science-fiction films with Schwarzenegger, Van Damme and other popular actors...

Oh well, somehow I got distracted from the game itself... Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, offers players try on the role of a new generation cybernetic soldier and also the last hope of humanity, Sergeant Rex Power Colt. The fun in Blood Dragon begins almost from the first minutes of the… Read full

Hello from the 80s. Far Cry Blood Dragon mocks all the clichés in action films of those years. Everything is familiar from Part 3: towers, animals, shootouts, but transferred to that atmosphere. The only thing missing was Volodarsky's voice acting. Hints such as to jump you must jump or to look around look around are amusing, at the same time, the comments are pleasing to him, who is clearly infuriated by this mockery from the computer. And then we save the world from a standard villain. We even have a RoboCop pistol in our arsenal. Apart from that, I didn’t use anything else. The game takes 3-4 hours to complete, but it’s wildly satisfying.

A spinoff worthy of the original.

It's rare that parodies come into the shooter genre. No matter what anyone says, “Dragon” is a parody not so much about the action films of the 80s, but rather a parody of the entire genre of militants and action. Dinosaurs with lasers, the pain of learning, ridiculous descriptions of objects and the suffering of the main character from learning will make anyone who is at least somehow familiar with these genres laugh, but if they caught those very films of the 80s, then they will enjoy each one even more scenes or phrases.

But as a game, it is much worse than the original. The world, although stylish, is empty and does not provide incentive to explore these dull dark places. Not all the time the game tries to amuse us, giving us rather simple “cleansing” … Read full

I didn’t play any part of the series (I heard, read, saw - nothing more), and I didn’t even know what “Bloody Dragon” was (even in general). And how glad I am that, thanks to PS Plus, I got to know the game. Yes, this is not a full-fledged new part, but a spin-off. BUT WHAT!

Furious and driving action, just a treasure trove of Easter eggs and references, and how much irony, mockery and ridicule there is... The gameplay is addictive, it is unpretentious, but this is a plus - the more similar it is to the favorite action films of the end of the last century. There is a plot, and that's enough about it. More important is what kind of atmosphere there is, what kind of music is playing, what we actually see and hear, what the main character says.

There are small unpleasant flaws, such as the occa… Read full

I didn’t pass a single headlight edge, somehow it wasn’t interesting. But after watching the trailer for Blood Dragon in the style of 80s cartoons, I became really interested. Retro futurism of the 80s is the main thing in this game, it’s very atmospheric. All this neon, stripes on the screen in the style of old TV, jokes from old action films, and in general the whole game is filled with frivolity, sarcasm and deliberately ridiculous pathos. The picture is very juicy, cool explosions, exploding cyber heads, a pleasure to shoot.

Of the minuses is the duration. and the downside is that the game has character leveling, weapon leveling, but essentially you don’t have time to use this current. More precisely, if you go through the story after all the side activities, then it might be nice, but … Read full
