It's kind of a shame. The plot is stupid as hell. The combat system is simply no good. There is no music at all (even compared to the first finals). The fairy tale about “bring something, I don’t know what, and go there, I don’t know where” is actually for children.

The characters are well drawn. The enemies are also replete with details (another thing is that many look very amateurish; even a house with a cannon on small legs from FF9 no longer seems strange).

The environment, when we finally see the big world... in one of the last chapters, it looks nice, the giant creature is still walking in the background.

The game isn't shit. Right off the bat. Yes, perhaps it is the worst numbered part of the series, but moving away from its legacy, it is quite a good game that can let you pass a few... a shitload of evenings. Finale still knows how to create a charming world unlike any other, still gives the feeling of a great adventure and creates some good emotional moments. Alas, this is where the “as before” ends and then the problems begin.
