In essence, Gauntlet is a typical variation on the theme of a Diablo game, without the most important (or perhaps unnecessary for some) mechanics. If you've always been annoyed by leveling up Diablo, didn't like the chase for gear, or too much variation in skills and abilities, then you may well like Gauntlet.
We have 4 classes - wizard, warrior, valkyrie and elf. The story campaign is based on short runs through dungeons with the ability to play up to four players on the same screen. The only resources here are gold, which we earn at levels and can be spent on purchasing abilities and weapons (there are few options), as well as on character customization.
There is a mode with endless waves of enemies, as well as daily challenges. To play alone, 2-3 runs of the main company for different classes are enough to explore all the content available here, but with friends, such entertainment may well drag on longer. As a result, Gauntlet Slayer Edition is a good game for a couple of evenings, but nothing more - there is little content, and there are no mechanics for keeping the player near the screen. Perhaps it's for the better.
