The greatest game in the gaming industry. It gave us a cult hero, one of the best gaming universes, and many mods for Halfa became independent games (and subsequently series) that achieved no less success (for example, Counter Strike). The influence of Half Life is difficult to underestimate.
Of course, there is a share of convention and even absurdity in the game, but this, in general, is not fatal as long as you have to fight with headcrabs, the US army and other aliens. Undoubtedly, this is a must-play game for any self-respecting gamer.
