Overall the game is definitely TOP. A project that has every chance of continuation and the opportunity to grow into something more.
The plot, on the one hand, is “typical” - an alien organism (amorphous flesh, also known as “meat”) breaks out of the laboratory, infects the personnel and captures the lunar base. Then the infected xenobiologist Yuri Markov activates the teleport and the alien biomass invasion of Earth begins. On the other hand, it also has a non-standard move - the ability of “meat” to infect various mechanisms, forming creepy biomechanical creatures. It is the monstrous “biomechanics” that is the main antagonist in the game, and the classics of the genre in the form of mutated people play more of a background role.
Musical accompaniment 10/10. The background music rocks well.
The gameplay is exactly the same as in Contra lll: The Alien Wars and Contra 4. For this, the game is often called a Contra clone. However, I would say that he is not a clone, but a worthy heir. Moreover, each level and skin of the GG is a reference to one or another game of the genre. In addition to the already mentioned Contra series, these are Doom, Metroid, Gun Smoke (cowboy skin), Megaman, Super Cyborg (butcher skin and Skyscraper level). Skins do not have unique properties and are introduced purely for entertainment.
Special thanks to the developer for the balanced complexity of the game. It can be played by both inexperienced gamers and the real hardcore ones.
The graphics are generally good, but in some places the pixelation is clearly visible.
The controls let us down a bit. The game refuses to use the NumPad properly.
