Killing Floor gained popularity even without fear of Left4Dead on the horizon. A great atmosphere and an implemented idea bears fruit.

The graphics, of course, looked great in 2009, and they still look good now. Unreal Engine is not far behind! And what struck me was the good optimization on this engine. 9\10

The sound in the game is not very good, which really upset me. Played with my music. 3\10

The gameplay is convenient, simple, without any problems. Standard first-person shooter 9\10

In general, the game turned out to be excellent, and I personally spent about 6 months on it. It’s true that it’s boring there alone, but when you have a team...heads fly off your shoulders!

Total: 8\10

Tired of Left 4 Dead and want something similar but different? You're also tired of zombies, do you want some variety? Welcome to Killing Floor.

Here you will find a bunch of assorted enemies who just want to grab a bigger piece from you. There are also a bunch of weapons, divided by class for greater convenience, to choose from. Do you want to cut, do you want to shoot, do you want to explode, or maybe decide to set fire to it? In any case, go for it. Because only your skill decides here.

You can almost win the game even with the very first and weakest weapon. The main thing is to have a good feel for the character and the monsters surrounding you (from all sides).

The variety of custom maps and mutators will also not leave you indifferent.

Killing Floor is an excellent cooperative shooter similar to

Left 4 Dead, but with its own twists. I used to hang

in this toy for hours. Now the second part has already been released, so few people play the first part.

Killing floor is one of those games that appeared thanks to mods (KF was a mod for Unreal tournament). Killing Floor is really such a simple idea, but how good and fun it is. I'm a big fan of games where mutants of different types are presented as enemies and each type has its own name, attacks, etc. and besides, I'm a big fan of metal and rock, KF's soundtrack sounds quite dated and simple, but it still rocks. I would give the game 10/10, however, it seems to me that during the KF1 days Tripwire's hands grew in a different place than with a flashlight? what about the loading screen design? Why do zeds sometimes go into Michael Jackson mode? At first I blamed the engine, but then I remembered that the reboot of DmC, Killing floor 2 and other games that look much better were developed on th… Read full
