I remember the first time I encountered this game. There was nothing to play and then a friend on Skype began to squeal, and when I calmed him down, he told me that Left 4 Dead 2 was being given away for free. We were very happy about this, because it was a freebie! Downloaded, installed and launched. And here I was plunged into a post-apocalyptic world with a lot of zombies, weapons and uncontrollable fun.
Plot:
Not very impressed, a new virus called “Green Flu” has appeared and everyone around is starting to turn into zombies, but there are a few lucky people who are immune to this virus. These lucky ones (or maybe unlucky ones, depending on how you look at them) will have to save their asses in a changed world, which is now full of hordes of the infected.
Characters:
They kept the characters from the first part, which couldn’t help but please (Louis, Zoe, Bill, Francis). The new characters are no worse than the previous ones (Ellis, Coach, Rochelle, Nick), each has their own story, which can be read on any wiki resource.
Infected:
In addition to the usual infected and special ones from the first part, rare ones have been added (Clowns, Workers, Mudmen, Fallen Survivors, etc.). Particular attention was paid to the mutated infected and new ones were brought into the game, such as Jockey, Spitter, and Brute.
For me, this game is not top in the post-apocalyptic shooter genre, but it allows you to take your mind off your problems for a couple of hours and helps relieve accumulated stress. I recommend it for playing together with friends, because one will very quickly get bored wandering through linear locations.
