Perhaps the best interactive series at the moment. My bow to the authors. Few people even try to make such cozy games, where the choice one way or another affects the events in the game. And even though the choice rarely affects the main plot, it does what Teil’s series cannot: it puts the fate of the heroes in the hands. And even if sometimes they change quite a bit, it’s damn nice to meet the consequences of a decision not after an episode, but when you’ve forgotten about this decision.
The impression from the game is like a great adventure. Sometimes with boring school life, sometimes extremely dynamic and dangerous. It's rare that authors want you to feel the life and adventure of the main character. At the same time, the heroine is a geek, which gives a special pleasure when she sprinkles references or directly mentions a famous film, book, etc. The events of the story develop rather slowly, but it is all the more interesting to watch the acceleration of the story with each subsequent episode. However, not everyone will like the beginning due to the excessive number of everyday scenes. And yes, I don’t know why certain people didn’t like the ending. Perhaps because of the psychedelic scenes that could have been cut out, but... I have a weakness for beautifully staged symbolism/psychedelic/similar crap, and they did it very well. Like the final episode itself, which is the most dynamic, in the right places emotional and simply beautiful.
And that seems to be all, delight and love, but something was missing. Maybe in some places the everyday life slows down the pace. Maybe I would like something more surprising. Maybe the filler moments with the impact on other characters were unnecessarily highlighted. Anything is possible. In some places the story is a little boring, in others the plot is in no hurry to develop. And yet these are only certain moments of a good story that some will not even highlight separately.
4 out of 5
A wonderful, atmospheric and interesting adventure. There is simply no better series now, even taking into account minor shortcomings. Just a game with soul, but, alas, it didn’t reach the level of a masterpiece.
P.s. Alex writes a diary just wonderfully. It’s a pleasure to read it and SMS, however... I still haven’t figured out when to read the diary. At the beginning? It’s possible, but at the beginning there’s a desire to play. After some events? It’s possible, but it’s interesting to continue playing. At the end? I don't want to ruin the aftertaste.
P.p.s. I’m ready to give all 5 marks to working with music. Even if it appears rarely, it sinks into the soul. And the endings of chapters with her turn into something magical. So much time has passed since its release, but I still regularly listen to the OST from the game and consider it an ideal selection for myself for a morning commute or a long train journey..
