Mass Effect 2: Arrival — Set in the Milky Way galaxy in the 22nd century, it follows the events of an imminent invasion by a highly advanced machine race of synthetic-organic spacecraft who plan to conquer the galaxy using the Alpha Relay, a mass transit device that allows interstellar travel. The player takes on the role of Commander Shepard, an elite human soldier who ends up foiling the invasion by colliding with an asteroid. Shepard's actions have dire consequences and set the stage for the sequel, Mass Effect 3.
