Mount & Blade: Warband

I have always dreamed of playing a game like Total War, but where you will be an ordinary soldier, a direct participant in the events, and not just an observer. I am very glad that this game gave me such an experience. Nice combat system, deep leveling of your character, squad, and companions. The opportunity to create your own state and take over the entire map bit by bit. The only negative for me is the rather weak endgame, when after capturing half of the map you simply finish off the rest with auto-battle.

But another big plus is the huge number of high-quality mods. Future, Fantasy, BB1, BB2, Age of Gunpowder, etc. There are even high-quality zombie mods. This is all that makes this game immortal.
