NCAA Football 09 — A new animation system has been introduced so that players are no longer tied to the animation. This allows players to combine different moves for a smoother playstyle. After the interception, the player is allowed to answer the "quarterback quiz". The player is given several photographs representing photographs taken by the offensive coordinator and is asked to select 3 defensive scheme options. This new feature is solely intended to help the player understand and read the defense.
Quarterbacks playing on the road can get irritated by the home crowd, causing them to misread routes or forget about plays entirely. This effect is not enhanced by answering the Defender Quiz incorrectly. Players can teach teaching strategies that focus the entire offense or defense on one action, such as forcing a crossover or ignoring crowd noise.
