After the well-received NFS Most Wanted, the sequel was not long in coming and Carbon was released in November 2006. But whether MW is better than the next part or not, we’ll now consider.

Plot

The plot, as befits a sequel, continues the plot of the previous part. After escaping from Rockport, we go to Palmont and watch a flashback. We were already Palmonte and were racing against Kenji, Angie and Wolf. We win the race in the Toyota Supra, but the cars of Kenji, Angie and Wolf are paralyzed by the EMP. We take the main prize (money) and run away. Later we find out that there was no money in the bag.

Cross is still chasing us. At the end of the chase, you unfortunately lose your legendary BMW M3 GTR, and have already fallen into the clutches of Cross, but then several cars pull up. This is Dar… Read full

The second game in the Need for Speed series that I played after Most Wanted, and which unfortunately disappointed me. There is no such addictive atmosphere as in the previous part. I will compare Carbon exclusively with Most Wanted, because I believe that MW is the standard, this is an example of what street racing should be.

NFSC is similar to its predecessor, but the developers tried in every possible way to load the game with new features. Night city, new racing modes, partners - it's all there in Carbon, but unfortunately it doesn't have that elaborate design, spirit and atmosphere. It feels like the game was made in a hurry in order to hit the jackpot solely due to the popularity of Most Wanted. If you haven't played this part, then you haven't lost anything.

6.5

Need for Speed: Carbon is a prequel-sequel to Underground and Most Wanted. As with all NFS, the plot is here for show, but the authors tried to twist it. Even before the games with the Underground subtitle, the main character participated in races with Carbon's characters. At one point, a mess started, the cops swooped in and everything didn’t go as it should. After the events of MW, GG returns to Palmont City. He is being pursued by Cross, who has become a bounty hunter. But Darius pays off Cross and GG begins to conquer Palmont. The only good thing here is the start, and then as per the standard, we win everything and everyone.

But the gameplay has become worse than its predecessor. I don’t know what’s the matter, but the cars are controlled as if they were on a cushion of air, as if the… Read full
