I bet everyone had NFS U2 as their first game. I remember with joy those times when it was not the graphics that were important, but the gameplay! Although at that time the graphics were simply rubbish and now they can compete (of course on ultra).
I would call U2 a tuning simulator, because many players spent more time tuning than racing. Yeah, the tuning there is truly cool, I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else (well, maybe only in World)! Hoods, spoilers, wheels, neon, engines and this list goes on and on, and this in turn means thousands of combinations!
I wouldn’t say that the racing is exciting, because at least there are chases in Most Wanted, but you can close your eyes to that. The routes are quite winding and there are no repeats as such. Most turns are almost impassable, requiring skill and a special approach.
Probably the most highlight of the game are the contracts, DVD and magazine covers. This, I think, is definitely not available anywhere! By concluding a contract, you receive a large amount and a car, but you also have to try a lot! Magazine and DVD covers are not that hard to get: you go through races, tune the stars car to 7, you receive a message from a friend, fly to the photo spot before the time runs out and get a beautiful cover and money in addition .
In short, the game turned out to be decent and in general there would be more games like this!
