Games Outlast All reviews Review from Игорь Побережец

Before Outlast, I was not very familiar with horror games and for a long time did not dare to play it. Everyone was talking about how scary it was, how many bricks they made and calling it the best horror movie. Unfortunately, things turned out differently for me.

The game began with a night trip to a psychiatric hospital, a place shrouded in mystery and late-night darkness. I had to get into this place in an unusual way, and the unknown gripped me more and more. But several minutes passed and a number of unexpected moments passed before it all ended. In less than an hour, I got used to this place, learned everything and the fear went away, and the game no longer tried to show me something new. A routine began of running around from men with pipes, searching for three fuses or taps. Then the camera fell through somewhere and a fat guy was running after me the whole game. There were very few tense situations and it became boring. The only thing that kept me going was a good story and the desire to see the end.

A few hours later I saw the light behind the opened door and concluded that my adventure was too long and I could not get the proper pleasure. The atmosphere of this place disintegrated too quickly and the only pushing factor was the desire to see the ending with credits.

Outlast is a good game, but don't expect anything special from it and you might like it.
