ParaWorld — real time strategy. The game concept is based on the principles of Age of Empires. The player collects various resources: food, wood, stones — and uses them to construct buildings and train troops. Food is obtained by picking berries, hunting animals, fishing, or growing in fields. The stone is mined from deposits that have a limited volume. Trees growing on the map are cut down for forest.
The availability of buildings and combat units is determined by five successively achieved eras and technologies that the player develops as he progresses through missions.
Battles in the game take place on land and at sea.
