On October 1, 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus showed a new T-72BM2 tank with a “barbecue cage” welded to the turret, which is already at the disposal of its military. This vehicle received the designation T-72BM2; its modernization was carried out by the Belarusian 140th repair plant in the city of Borisov, Minsk region. The first presentation of this tank took place in July 2022.

Эта машина получила обозначение Т-72БМ2, ее модернизацией занимался белорусский 140-й ремонтный завод в городе Борисове Минской области. Первая презентация этого танка состоялась в июле 2022 года.
