My acquaintance with this franchise began with the remake of the third part. This was followed by a remake of the second, seventh and this part of the series. At the beginning, I was skeptical about these games, but as soon as I completed at least one part, I realized that I needed to find a separate shelf in my heart for Resident Evil. Not a single game left behind any unpleasant memories. I went through each one with a great enthusiast and was able to solve most of the riddles myself!
What about this part. I consider the eighth part to be the best in the series at the moment. She competently continued the story of the main character Ethan Winters. This character was familiar to me from the seventh part and I was waiting for his return. He is truly honored to have the Best Father award. There will be spoilers next, so if you haven't completed the game yet, I advise you to do so.
I consider Ethan one of the best characters in the history of video games and for me he is on par with the same Leon from the second part. I see Ethan’s story as the most heartbreaking, correct and most importantly heroic.
A desperate husband, who first went in search of his wife to an abandoned house in the wilderness, finds her in a terrible state. After long battles, revealed secrets and mysteries, he manages to free his beloved and escape from this truly cursed place. Later they have a child who becomes everything to them. But as it turned out, they were being followed and later the corporation stole the child, the most precious thing our main character had. The whole meaning of his life was taken away. The father cannot stand this crime and sets out to take revenge and regain the meaning of his existence. On his way he meets evil spirits who want to stop him, but the brave father stopped at nothing. At the end, when the enemy was defeated and the child was handed over to the mother, exhausted, exhausted Ethan, who was no longer a person in the usual sense, sacrifices himself, destroys the “Mold”, and dies heroically.
This character only evokes a feeling of pride. In the most incredible moments, when it seems like he should drop everything and run, he looks danger straight in the face and laughs. And at the end, his tombstone is engraved with "Ethan Winters. A husband who put his family's life before his own." And it’s true, this phrase completely describes Ethan’s entire story.
That's all for me. Play good games and enjoy them!!
