King's Quest 1: Quest for the Crown — is the first quest with animated color graphics. The game shaped the adventure game genre. Most of the popular quests created after King’s Quest repeated the basic principles of the genre laid down in this game. Suffice it to say that it was this game that served as the starting point for the creation of such famous series of adventure games as Space Quest and Police Quest, and these three series gave the name (quest) to the entire genre.
