A very interesting project that is a combination of FPS and TowerDefence.
The gameplay in the game is as follows: there is a core that you must protect, there is actually you and hordes of alien krakozyabrs. A huge emphasis here is on the fact that you will build labyrinths from blocks, on which you then place all kinds of killers. In the later stages of the game, when the difficulty is at medium or higher, and the waves have exceeded the third decade, the guns in your hands will do very little damage, so the shooter component gradually fades into the background, becoming at the same time a first-person taverdefense.
The gameplay fully reveals itself when you play with friends (you and 1-3 friends) with voice communication through some kind of discord.
There is no plot in the game as such. We, people, so to speak, are settling down on a certain planet LOEK 3. The planet is picturesque, with very beautiful nature (just like in the avatar of the year two thousand and nine, with huge trees and all that). The cores that we protect greatly irritate the local fauna, but we will only find out why this happens in the second part.
The graphics in the game will not impress the modern player, keep in mind. This is both a plus and a minus. The positive side here is that this game will run on almost any PC (when we played it with a friend, he had a built-in video chip and nothing like that, he played 50-60 eps on low settings). However, even on modern hardware, Sanctum can produce a more or less pleasant picture.
The sound here is average, nothing special, only the sound of a shot from one long-range tower is impressive, but these are minor things. But the music here is quite pleasant, melodic, you don’t even want to turn it off in the settings in the first few steps, but you will do it later, because the music here is repeated at levels every wave.
Localization is average, but in Russian you will have a bug where your settings will not be saved. So if you want to properly customize the game for yourself, then unfortunately you won’t be able to play in Russian.
In general, the game is not for everyone, but as they say, if it drags on, it will drag on!
