Games Skullgirls All reviews Review from Сергей Конотоп

Not a bad indie fighting game.

I really liked the musical accompaniment: relaxed jazz compositions, with a separate track for each location (or arena). Together with the gloomy, but at the same time cartoonish drawing, you plunge into a sort of Chicago of the middle of the last century with the mafia, behind-the-scenes intrigues and so on.

The plot is linear and different for each game character. Here you have mysticism (the skull heart itself), and the aforementioned mafia, and even have your own mad scientist. This is not counting the fact that there are so-called living things and parasites....

The controls are a little more intricate than, say, Tekken. But at the same time, if you have skills in such fighting games, then if you have a gamepad, all combinations can be repeated.

There are a lot of references to games, films and anime, and all this is seasoned with ironic (and in some places punning) humor.

All this gives a lively, albeit slightly specific picture of gameplay in the style of classic “side” fighting games
