A confident step forward after Amnesia. And damn it makes me very happy that this step has been taken in favor of history. No matter how much I love Amnesia, the gameplay nuance of eternal escape from the monster was still depressing, and the fact that in Soma they reduced this to a minimum is pleasing.

Essentially the gameplay remains the same. Sometimes an enemy appears that we must avoid. However, this time the opponents live strictly in their own zone, they are all different and almost everyone is weak in some way. A good example of a successful walking simulator. Minimum gameplay, but maximum atmosphere. They will not scare you with cheap screamers, but will gradually pump you up with new details about what happened in the world of the game. The plot will not just tell a story, but will ask questions to which each player will give their own answer

Amazing gameplay! For the first time, the game hooked me with its atmosphere so much that I wanted to play it and play it. The soundtrack is at the highest level. The non-standard idea of the game itself makes it possible to feel yourself in the role of a “living” robot. A man-made disaster, the fall of a comet, genetic experiments and the search for one’s place in life in a new world. This is "SOMA"!

This game, like Amnesia and Penumbra, has puzzles that require enemies to hide from, run away from, or not look at, but there are far fewer of them. For that reason, SOMA has good graphics showing a gloomy laboratory at the bottom of the ocean and, most importantly, it is an amazing story, after completing it, it will remain in the memory for a long time and will make you talk about it more than once.

Excellent horror and the best creation of Frictional Games. Gloomy atmosphere, entertaining gameplay, constant feeling of tension and fear, excellent sound and design. I'm still waiting for the second part of one of the best horror films of all time.
