The events are dedicated to the next confrontation between Sonic and Doctor Eggman. An evil genius has discovered the Dream, an ancient device capable of making dreams come true in the real world. The heroes embark on a journey through twisted dream worlds, rescuing their friends and trying to put an end to Dr. Eggman's nightmarish dreams of world domination. The game has six playable characters with unique abilities and many levels.
