The game is published by Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos S.A. and Sega. STH, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis and Sonic 1 are alternative titles for Sonic the Hedgehog 2009. For some reason, the game has not yet been released on PC. Overall, the project turned out to be quite weak. Most reviewers gave the game very low ratings.
