A rather ambiguous and in some ways even contradictory game. Initially, I was quite skeptical; after all, DICE and the Star Wars universe (hereinafter referred to as Star Wars) are somehow little interconnected. No, I don’t argue, DICE makes excellent multiplayer games on the theme of various military conflicts , but still Star Wars is completely different. Although the game turned out to be a little similar to battlefield, it is still a different game.
I’ll start with the most pleasant thing, with the advantages of the game. What comes first to mind when we hear about Star Wars? This is of course the atmosphere and this cannot be taken away from the game. Let’s take for example the walker attack mode, where one side defends (rebels) and tries to prevent the passage of a walker (hereinafter referred to as AT-AT), and others (the empire) are on the attack. The battles themselves already immerse the topic in the atmosphere of those very starvation forces. X-wings and airspeeders fly in the sky, a pair of AT-STs passes by. And across the field the same AT-AT is walking slowly but surely in the battle. It is worth special mentioning the AT-AT, this is not just some kind of equipment, but this is a deadly huge combat vehicle, it is also very interesting to watch how this colossus falls to the ground after being destroyed .But one shootout would not be enough. Something is missing. What is it? That’s right, these are the heroes of the Star Wars universe. Where would we be without them! Someone might want to fly and choose Boba Fett, someone would prefer Han Solo, but the choice is not limited to this, there are others. Well, someone sticks to the classics and will stand on the side of the dark side. Yes, yes, I’m talking about Darth Vader now, what is the cost of strangulation by force. There are other advantages, but they are not the same significant.
And now I’ll move on to the disadvantages, there will probably be many more of them. The first thing that catches your eye is the lack of anti-cheat protection on the PC version, that is, cheaters are common, but there is no fight against them. But that’s okay, in The game encounters a more serious problem - glitches (these are, to some extent, bugs) that give advantages to some players over others, even the latest patch did not fix all of this. It is also incomprehensible that the developers are limited to one era. So much content could be introduced into the game, but Now, even with the additions, there are not many maps. And the developers squeezed themselves by choosing one era, so after a while the game doesn’t get boring. It should also be noted that the use of technology was not implemented in the best way. Especially air battles, which turned out to be incomplete compared to the previous part.
Is it worth taking? Everyone decides for themselves. I can only advise that if you are to some extent a fan of Star Wars, then it’s definitely worth it. If not, then it’s better to save the money and buy some later on sale from parts of the battle.
