I played through the game several times. In the beginning, everything seems simple - you research systems and technologies, build outposts, colonize planets and improve your tin cans, which are called “fleet” here. Then you find some homunculus neighbors. Either be friends with them or fight with them. Then there is nowhere to expand, all that remains is to build up the planets, study new technologies and improve the fleet. DLC adds a bunch of events and mechanics that will help make Stellaris much more interesting. Then you conquer your neighbors (or make friends with them - depending on who you play for), receive their resources, the fleet becomes larger, you conquer more, and more. The last problem is the "end of game crisis" - very strong enemies coming from another galaxy. They can greatly ruin your life, leaving 50% of the empire in ruins, or even destroy you. Then it becomes impossible to stop you, but two problems appear: 1) The sector system (such as auto-building planets) is wildly stupid - it builds the wrong thing, wastes resources, does not use valuable features of the planets, so you have to click on all 70 planets manually - for this 8.5 in management. 2) Towards the end of the game it starts to lag like hell even on the GeForce X650, not to mention the X460. For this reason, the music in the game is great - it’s suitable for peaceful space exploration, and also - here you can play for any empire - from good democrat people to communist parrots or evil enslaving clams that destroy everyone in their path. In short, the game is great.
