My acquaintance with the series began with this wonderful game.
But closer to the point:
- The main plot.
The premise is quite banal - the dying emperor asks the protagonist to find his illegitimate son, because only he can save everyone and everything. But even then everything is not going well - running around, seasoned with the script. The ending doesn't evoke any special emotions at all, let alone the bosses. And Oblivion’s plans for the third visit evoke thoughts: “When will this end!?”
-Subplot.
Things are much better here.
We have four branches of guilds: Mages, Fighters, Thieves and the Dark Brotherhood. Each is better than the other. I ask you to pay special attention to the Dark Brotherhood, it was the passage of this storyline that left a certain sediment in my soul.
Lots of different quests scattered around the world.
Two plot additions. Knights of the Nine - a small line of quests and the Shivering Isles - a large location with many quests and a colorful world.
There is a sense of diversity, which cannot be said about the main plot.
-Graphics.
The graphics were lagging behind for their time, but they do not cause rejection. With the exception of the faces of some characters, which will give you nightmares, which, however, can be corrected with mods.
-Music.
I'll be brief, she's excellent.
-Peace.
Various biomes, from swamps to snowy mountains.
-Gameplay
Quite a simple dialogue system with a mini-game. Combat is divided into close and ranged, and at maximum difficulty it turns into a hellish spell. Mini-game for picking locks.
If you haven't played this game yet, you should definitely check it out.
