There is an opinion (and it’s hard to argue with it) that games based on movie epics (and, conversely, movies based on games) are doomed to failure. Yes, we often have to reckon with just this state of affairs, but even the not-so-successful games of this type have their fans who love the game only for the embodiment of the beloved universe in our beloved interactive form.
