Games The Last of Us All reviews Review from Wolfsangel

20 years have passed since the fungus that turns people into zombies began to spread across the earth. From the moment when the main character of the game, Joel, lost his daughter. Humanity is slowly dying out. As is humanity. But, unexpectedly for the protagonist, there is a girl who can save both people and himself.

This game is a journey comparable to the road movie genre in cinema. The heroes go to their goal through a post-apocalyptic world captured by the infected. But they are not always the worst enemy. Much worse are the survivors, who can either help our couple or wish for death. At best.

Along the way, Joel and Ellie will take part in a variety of events. Some will show a well-constructed drama, others will show small joys that the heroes so lack. Naughty Dogs used a lot of tools to tell the story authentically and beautifully. Not only in terms of storytelling, but also visually - one of the best pictures on the PS3.

It’s a pity that Ellie turned out to be not as smart in terms of AI as we were promised: she often has problems finding the path, which is why enemies can easily detect us.

The artificial stretching of the game by the “here’s another pack of enemies, even though there are few survivors” method doesn’t paint the picture either. And several locations where you are forced to fight back a bunch of dummies coming from everywhere. Fortunately, most of the game can be played in both stealth and Rambo mode. Unless the latter doesn’t have enough cartridges and parts to collect useful things.

As a result, at the dawn of the departure of the PS3, we received a very good and even worthy of the pantheon of “must have” games. Which still did not come without a couple of gross disadvantages. Like Joel, I will not compromise on my assessment.
