So, everyone remembers the movie Sucker Punch, about a girl who is sent to a mental hospital at the behest of her stepfather. Where at the beginning of the film we are greeted by the rather cult composition “Sweet Dreams” (for which there are a sea of all kinds of covers), and this time the track was presented in her vision by Emily Browning. So, remember? Yes, no, it doesn't matter! Because we won’t be talking about him... but I still use the forbidden technique. (ba dum ts)
Avoid The Lord of The Rings Gollum!
Is it worth describing all her sins? So I think that - no. But we’ll briefly go over the main points:
1) Price - at the time of release the game costs $49.99, so let everyone decide for themselves whether it’s expensive or not, but I’ll remind you that for ~50$ you could get RE7 and you will have another $41 left.
2) The monotony of locations - half the game is orc prisons, the second is elf “prison”.
3) Elections (no, not the president) - which don’t affect anything... we’re still talking about the game, right?!
4) The plot is conventional, not described by Tolkien, which gave the development studio a flight of fancy, but it didn’t lead anywhere. Born to crawl and all that, you know the rest.
5) Crawling* movement in general is often crooked, Golum does not listen and does not respond to controls, which leads to stupid deaths or simply unnecessary falls.
And then it gets worse and worse... in everything.
Therefore, it’s better to get yourself Styx: Master of Shadows:
With a 90% discount, you can grab it for just 2 bucks; Although the locations are similar to each other, they are beautiful and well designed; a charismatic goblin is many times more attractive (in any sense) than the same Golum; There is a plot here and it is much more interesting; well-developed stealth mechanics.
There are, of course, technical bugs, but not as critical as in The Lord of The Rings Gollum (where you can catch a soft lock). Well, you can make a discount in terms of character and camera control, simply because the game came out in October 2014.
