Games Total War: Shogun 2 All reviews Review from japonsko

“There is one law of the universe, and everything has a beginning and an end. The reign of the old Shogunate ends...”

I watched this damn screensaver so many times, the battle of two samurai, the attack of the castle, all

of this gives me goosebumps.

Shogun 2, an excellent strategy in every sense: the atmosphere of feudal Japan of the 16th century is conveyed as well as possible - the speeches of army leaders before the start of the battle, the screams of soldiers on the battlefield and many other similar details create the feeling complete immersion in this beautiful world; graphics, animation, sound - everything is at a high level and looks good even now - 5 years after its release; The AI knows how to fight and it’s very good, seriously, the challenge will be present throughout almost the entire game; the strategic component is also not as simple as it might seem initially, recently conquered provinces rebel, there is often not enough food, the army can and does die from exhaustion; there is an economy that is easy to understand, but at the same time difficult to use; there is always not enough money for the army.

The game, of course, has some flaws, the only major ones worth highlighting are the naval battles: they are dull, uninteresting and slightly spoil the impression of the game. The rest is not so striking and does not require my attention

Conclusion: the game is good, sometimes a little hardcore (this is what the second Rome lacked), there are two major DLCs that are not at all inferior in quality to the original game , addictive for many, many hours, I strongly recommend buying it (at least at a discount), the game is clearly worth the money spent on it.
