Brilliant - not brilliant Uncharted: A Thief's Path
I decided to remember the game. Which at one time was the reason for just tons of controversy and hate. Since it was positioned by many, and as almost the best PS3 exclusive.
I’ll say right away that the review was created by a person who, back in 2009, having seen enough of Longvinov’s reviews (at that time he was not involved in the inquisition of all undesirables, at least not on such a scale) and decided to try out this milestone in the gaming industry.
The artistic part of the game immediately catches your eye. It's artistic. Many praised Anch for its graphics. But for me, the game is drawn by the color palette and the way everything is drawn. The world of Ancharted is bright and colorful. Today, a couple of studios and Blizzard can draw this way.
The graphics are more at a good level than “the best to date,” as they called them.
Plot . Not a genius. The character development and dialogue are really good. But logic is sometimes lame, sometimes on both legs. When a traitor who values his ass most of all dies for his employer. Just because gladiolus. This is a little sad.
Missions with riddles shoot every other time. The whole plot is permeated with these little bayanchiki.
Bayanness. Leaders of Ancharted.
1) Angry helicopter
2) Angry helicopter when you climb on a train
3) Angry assistant of a very evil Russian
4) Couple-dad-daddy TANK
5) Evil Russian, who is like should have become mortal if not for Nathan with the AK 47.
Lots of cliches (not without good production).
Gameplay
This is where the dog that pissed me off the most in Ancharted is buried. The shootouts are well done. Moments with a skyscraper falling, or running from a helicopter across rooftops, are absolutely chic. You're just running. All the palm trees and flowerpots are moving, the blades are whistling, and now you are just starting to see the 10s on your fingertips. Missions with jumping and climbing begin. The most dull missions. At the beginning with stealth (it's bad). Then with the northern people. The palette there is completely white, and the constant climbing is freezing. In some places Nathan jumps crookedly to the point of horror. The animation is a little crooked, there is no feeling of 100% control.
Sound . Well, everything is fine here. The title theme is just what the doctor ordered. And in tense moments, it helps you get used to the role.
Multiplayer is where the multiplayer of a single project should be. At the bottom.
Bottom line: Uncharted is remembered as a solid adventure. I would give it a 9. There is nothing overly revolutionary in it. But all the elements together make the game very cohesive. The game is light and bright. In my opinion, it is one of the best in this genre. Her main opponent at one time was the PS3 owners. Which took the game to the skies. Making you expect too much from her.
For those who do not have a PS3: You just missed a good game. About 10 of these come out a year. And you don’t even pass them. So relax.
