I’m wondering if there was any hype around it as “an exclusive worthy of buying a console”? If so, I don’t share it at all. Yes, the game brought very lively dialogues and a spirit of adventure when everything with Lara turned into a farce, but there is less of this element in the game than we would like. But there is a sea of mediocre shooting.
While I was playing, I remembered how the shooting in the Order was criticized, saying “boring, you don’t feel the enemy well” and I drilled my finger into my temple. Are you serious? She was quite normal there, but in the uncharted there was 1 complete alien. A shot in the head is not a guarantee that it will kill the enemy immediately; when hit by a burst of fire, the enemy begins to dance a jig; 3 shots from the most ordinary pistol kill immediately, while with a machine gun you need to spend a third of both at best. Shotguns at medium distances are generally rubbish, and you only get to close ones when you have the opportunity to kill everyone in hand-to-hand combat. Only in the final chapters is the shotgun useful. The ballistics are strange, the enemy's reaction to bullets is very wooden... and the game crams these fights everywhere, kicking you into the arenas at every opportunity. I’m glad that opponents are not always fools and think of throwing a grenade and getting around, but still the pleasure from shooting is zero. I had to switch from a high difficulty level to normal to reduce the irritation from it.
“I’m tired of whining,” you say? Okay, here's another one. Drake sees a dear character being killed before his eyes. Krichin “noooooo”, but in the next scene he doesn’t give a fuck. He's humorous, he moves on to the goal, he doesn't remember the character at all, he just doesn't give a fuck about him. Normal? One of the closest people rips, but he doesn’t give a damn... And here I want to emphasize that there are simply not enough scenes. It’s as if no one was going to put a strong emphasis on the plot, but they decided to try to make the scenes that were there interesting. This is great, but sometimes the mood of the moments after the shown scene is not maintained at all.
But to the game's credit, these are the only two flaws in the game. Yes, we can also point out that the jungle location manages to get quite boring, but against the backdrop of dull shooting, almost all the minor flaws fade away.
3 out of 5
A very pleasant adventure, which consists of very good scenes, a pleasant mood of the work, an Indiana plot and good localization, which are diluted by mediocre shooting in a 2/3 ratio. Even the localization is quite good, but Elena sometimes smacked of a log, and Repetur is completely out of place.
