I rejected the game until I tried it.
Let's start with the background. I played CS for many hours and considered it almost the standard of a competitive shooter, nothing superfluous, everything is clear and simple. The only thing that happened periodically was that I systematically abandoned the game several times a year because I realized that it was slowly getting boring and the developers too rarely came up with anything new.
And just during the last such break I came across Valik. The first thought, as I said earlier, was: “yeah, what other abilities do you have?” But after trying this game for real, I realized that all these abilities are exactly the part that breaks the mind. That is, throughout the match you need to understand perfectly well what your allies can do and what your opponents can do. Also, throughout the match, you wait and wait for the moment when using the skill will really be justified. I thought this was a very interesting idea.
As a result, I want to say that the project is taking place. This whole connection between the rules of counter-strike (place a bomb, diffuse it) and the unique abilities of the agents is addictive.
And I believe that when this project “grows up”, it will be able to fall in love with even more gamer hearts. It's just a matter of time.
