I got acquainted with the game just the other day, since at one time I had never heard of it at all. Now, although it looks a little outdated, but honestly, the textures of some of the characters are better than in most modern games.
From the point of view of game mechanics and gameplay, the game is not bad, the battles are not very convenient, but there is nothing much to complain about. What's really great is everything about the role-playing part: the game is non-linear, different choices, different endings, different characters.
The voice acting of the characters in the original is simply wonderful, the dialogues differ not only for characters of different genders, but even for different clans of vampires, it is immediately clear that the game was made with attention to detail and well, the dialogues are really cool and necessary. Many quests cannot be completed without starting a random conversation, since it is from conversations that the main character draws information about the world and how to behave. Many options for passing, break through by force, stealth, or charisma. Everything that distinguishes canonical correct RPGs is present.
Fans of the genre, don’t pass by, it’s worth it and you’ll hardly find anything similar released in the last 5 years.
