I've always been skeptical about the Wolfenstein series. After the “return to the castle” it seemed to me that the developers simply wanted to cash in on the famous name and mass hatred of fascism. I even looked at this game with great skepticism, until I learned one fact: the game was made by people from Starbreeze, perhaps the best (in my opinion) FPS creators. There was still a slight residue of excitement left when I bought the game. Who knows exactly who left Starbreeze, but later it turned out that almost all those people who made me love the shooter genre again left.

Having endured a rather leisurely and gray beginning, the true face of the game is gradually revealed to you. Lively characters, funny dialogues sometimes reminiscent of Giai Ritchie (maybe exaggerating...), an interesti… Read full

Damn, how I missed games like this. No, seriously. During the first levels I was absolutely delighted with what was happening. In the story, we play as BJ Blazkovich in 1946, who storms the fortress of the powerful Skull. No, not the Marvel skull. The operation fails, BJ gets shrapnel in the head and spends 14 years in a mental hospital. He comes to his senses in 1960, in a world where the fascists have taken over the world. The most advanced technologies: robots, cyborg dogs, super soldiers and so on. And so we have to lead the hero who leads the resistance. As for the gameplay, it’s classic Wulf: incredibly enjoyable shooting, a lot of weapons, dismemberment (I generally missed this in recent shooters). The whole game you just enjoy what is happening, but the technical side spoils the im… Read full

Return of the genre

For a long time I really wanted to play a normal, good joker, I couldn’t play Wolfenstein: The New Order for a long time, but I finally got around to it.

To my surprise, I found a lot more in the game than just a joke; surprisingly, there is a pretty good plot. Usually in games, the plot fades into the background, and we don’t remember the secondary characters in any way, but here everything is different. MachineGames managed to do the impossible, to combine the seemingly incompatible. Each hero has his own story, albeit a short one, you follow each of him, empathize. Although, a couple of minutes ago he destroyed everything that moves.

Although sometimes the corridors are very felt, the developers managed to create a feeling of a big world. Notes from newspapers are s… Read full

May the fans of this game forgive me, but now there will be a lot of discontent. I will try to be objective, but this title caused me a lot of negative emotions and complaints. I want to start by saying that a shooter, in my understanding, is an ordinary shooter that should entertain the gamer. I don’t understand why some chapters are devoted to the stupid search for a welding machine in your, so to speak, apartment shelter. What is this? This is such stupid savagery, I played and couldn’t believe my eyes. Seriously though. What's interesting in a stupid corridor fetch and serve mission. In a shooter? In wolfenstein? Seriously? There’s also a whole chapter to dedicate to this, and there aren’t that many chapters here. And they go through it in about 20 minutes. It really infuriated me. Wel… Read full
